Before You Apply

Greetings Grant Seekers!

We're excited that you're interested in applying for a Grant Award from Kids to Kids. First, let's make sure that you understand how our grants work and that you are eligible to apply.

Kids to Kids awards grants of up to $500 USD to teams of Peace Corps Volunteers and Community Leaders towards fun, educational and meaningful projects for kids in our Target Countries. Grant Seekers may submit applications for Kids to Kids grants at any time throughout the year. Applications are reviewed on a biannual basis every June and December. We accept the cream of the crop and make sure that all projects are Kid-Approved and uphold our Values.

Sound good? We're sure you have great ideas for projects and we'd love to hear from you. Just make sure that you meet the following Eligibility Requirements before you apply:

• You must be currently serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
• You must have been at your site of service for at least three months when you apply.
• You must remain at your site of service for at least three months after you receive the grant.
• You must apply in partnership with a community leader who is affiliated with a local community-based organization or group.
• You may only have one Kids to Kids Grant Award at a time. You are eligible to apply again once you have completed your previous Kids to Kids Project and submitted the Follow-Up Survey.

All projects receiving Kids to Kids Grant Awards are kid-approved. Grant applications are reviewed biannually in June and December. Those applications that meet our eligibility requirements, are most relevant to our goal and values, and receive the most support from Kids to Kids Members are approved, subject to the availability of funds.

Kids to Kids Grant Awards are for up to $500. Once a project is approved for a Grant Award, you will receive a Grant Agreement. Once the agreement is completed and submitted, Kids to Kids will send funds and the project can begin. Grant Awards are disbursed in July and August for the June grant cycle and in January and February for the December grant cycle. Yippee!
